Pink Floyd will release new album ‘The Endless River’

With bands such as Pixies, My Bloody Valentine and Neutral Milk Hotel releasing new music, it still comes as a surprise that Pink Floyd is releasing a new album titled “The Endless River”, and which also marks the 20th anniversary of The Division Bell.download

Just recently, Polly Sampson, David Gilmour’s wife shared information about their new music in a tweet, which read, “Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called “The Endless River”. Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright’s swansong and very beautiful.”

As mentioned earlier, the record will be called “The Endless River” which was also confirmed by Durga McBroom-Hudson, who toured with the band in both the eighties and nineties as a singer. She also wrote of her involvement with the project apart from posting a picture of one of the recording sessions too.

In elaborating a bit more, she also said that all the songs on this record have not been released earlier since they were first recorded to be instrumentals before her involvement.

While she also said that a number of Richard Wright songs will be on the record, nothing was mentioned of the other founding member’s involvement, Roger Waters, in the making of the record.

While the latter left Pink Floyd in 1983 to work on a solo career, David Gilmour also released a solo record last fall.

Other sites have also mentioned the involvement of Andy Jackson, Pink Floyd’s sound engineer, on this project. However, that information has been removed recently.

An official statement on the new Pink Floyd album is due soon.
